Our Ph.D. student, Muhammad Umar B. Niazi, visited Professor Jacquelien Scherpen and her student Xiaodong Cheng at the University of Groningen, Netherlands, on 8 and 9 October 2018. They discussed the techniques of model reduction for network systems to deal with the problem of average state estimation of multiple clusters in large-scale networks. In addition, Umar also had a meeting with Professor Harry Trentelman and Professor Kanat Camlibel at Johann Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Groningen, where they discussed the structural observability of networks and distributed observer design.
